Pre-release software

Umbra is in development. Features described here may change or be removed, and nothing on this site is a promise of availability, price or delivery date.

Safety

Do not use Umbra to look at the Sun. Do not use it while driving, cycling or anywhere that needs your full attention. It renders imagery over a camera view and can obscure real hazards.

Scientific accuracy

Celestial directions and angular sizes are calculated. Surfaces, colours, storms, ring shading, terminator orientation and enlarged scales are illustrative, and the black-hole scene is imaginary. Umbra is not a navigation, survey or scientific instrument.

Images you capture are yours. We do not claim rights over them and do not receive them unless you choose to send them to us.
